TRAVEL
Travel update - the conference hotel is already full on Tuesday night! There are still rooms Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. If you wish to book for Sunday - Tuesday (or longer), call the Town and Country directly, 1-800-77-ATLAS, and they will be able to book you at the Handlery Hotel (1-800-843-4343) next door to the property (10 minute walk away) for $119 / night, and will provide complimentary shuttle service to the conference hotel. Another good choice might be the Best Western Seven Seas, 411 Hotel Circle S., 619-291-1300 (2 minute walk away) or the Days Inn, 543 Hotel Circle S., 1-800-297-8800 (4 minute walk).
In addition, inexpensive shuttles (1, 2) or taxi can get you from the airport any of the hotels, and the Town and Country is on the trolley line that connects to Old Town and downtown / harbor areas. So you can save the need for a car.
